Take advantage of free cash grants while you apply for federal student aid. Whether you are in high school or already enrolled in college now, it isnt too late to get access to free money for college. If you havent already applied for the Federal Pell Grant, apply right away, you are eligible to get up to a maximum of $3300 if you can demonstrate that you have a genuine need. There are two types of federal student aid: the Federal Perkins loan and the Federal Stafford loan.
With a Federal Perkins loan, you borrow the money from your college, expect to pay 9% in interest and repay the loan 9 months after you graduate from college. You can get a maximum of $3000 if you are sophomore. A more popular federal student aid is the Federal Stafford loan. Depending on your families financial situation you can apply for 2 types of Federal student aid: a subsidized loan (where the government pays the interest while you are in college) and unsubsidized loan (where you have to pay for the interests while you are at college). Expect to borrow up to $2625 if you are a 1st year dependent student.
As you can see, you would have to live a very frugal lifestyle if that was your only source of income in your first year in college. Dont settle for this, select the link below and choose student loans. You will instantly gain access to free cash from private foundations and from non-profit organizations. They have given away billions of dollars each year to students who are in genuine need of financial aid. Be willing to invest the extra time to supplement your Federal student aid and reap the wonderful rewards of extra cash!
