Student loan forgiveness can help you cancel your loan
With student loan forgiveness, the federal government will cancel all or part of an educational loan. Student loan forgiveness has strict requirements for eligibility.
To qualify for student loan forgiveness an applicant must preform volunteer work, military service, teach or practice medicine in certain types of communities, or meet other criteria issued by the forgiveness program.
Other paths to student loan forgiveness include, completing certain bachelor degrees at selected universities; students of law enforcement, law, probation and parole, penology, or other related fields; students of nursing, physical and occupational therapy, social work and education; or applicants who enter full time teaching programs serving low-income families, special education, or other fields designated as teacher shortage areas.
Student loan forgiveness is provided to applicants who are willing to make a difference in their communities and strive to contribute needed services to society.
